    Made with grapes grown from Claudio’s single vineyards which cling to the side of the Langhe. 2006 was a fantastic vintage and Claudio has managed to make an extremely grown up wine, with incredible finesse.

    Age of vine: Several parcels, some are fairly new some 60 years old. Average is 25 years old

    Typical limey-clay soils.

    Harvest dates : Mid October

    Length of fermentation : 10-21 days

    Steel tank/barrel fermentation : Steel Tank

    Bottle/cask ageing : French oak casks for 2 years with some being kept in tank. Bottle aged before release.

    Colour : Red with brick and ambered tones of maturity.

    Bouquet : Spices, undergrowth, game, dried fruit, wild flowers

    Serving temperature : Serve at 16-18°C. Decant if possible.

    Food match : Serve with a wide variety of full-flavoured red meat, both roasted or braised, game, cheeses & dark chocolate desserts.

    Ageing potential : 12+ Years
