    Our remit and raison d’etre is to find, ship, cellar and then list the best 100 wines we can find and then – in an ideal world – we sell them… all for under £30 a bottle. That means wines that are drinking well NOW and with a unique quality that we believe sets them far apart from the mass of wine on our supermarket and shop shelves.

  • FINDING THE BEST BURGUNDY

    Burgundy is one of the most exciting and exhilarating wine growing regions on the planet, it’s also the most complex and intimidating. Chablis at its northernmost extremity produces steely, dry & pure wines. At its heart, the Cote d’Or, with its unique vineyard sites produces some of the world’s finest expression of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and on through to the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais to the hot Beaujolais with its easy drinking Summer pudding like reds…

  • FANCY A BIT OF WINE TASTING?

    Few things get us as fired up as much as opening our wines for all to try. We run tastings for groups of friends, blind wine tastings for corporate entertainments and all sorts of wine tasting 'journeys' for those who really like to learn a bit more. We take the stuffiness out of talking and tasting wine and live by our motto – great wine, sans guff.

  • WHAT'S HUGO BEEN UP?

    Hugo's our 1960's Citroen H Van which we've had lovingly restored in to our stylish mobile wine tasting station. He's been travelling the depth and breadth of the country making sure the great British public have been hydrated in the style we feel they should be. He's entertained at sports days, rock concerts, food festivals and more. Hugo's available for hire and comes complete with a possy of charming Vintners.

  • TO BORDEAUX AND BACK

    Head Vintner, Tom Gilbey, went to have a proper sniff around Bordeaux, sussing out the new vintage and unearthing some great wines to be hitting the Vintner's list. Tom has a strong connection to the region as his family were one of the first English families to buy a Château in Bordeaux back in 1875–Château Loudenne.
