A firm and distinguished wine of great density, with spices, black fruits and liquorice coming through. The wines of Réserve de la Comtesse, like the Grand Vin, are known for their soft, feminine charm and due to the amount of Merlot in the blend they are supple, velvety and opulent. Aromas of black cherries, spice, smoke, blackberries, plums and sandalwood.
What the Press Say
The second wine, the 2007 Reserve de Comtesse, is a lighter, but equally soft and approachable version of the grand vin. Already evolved, it is a round, plump, delicious Pauillac to enjoy over the next 7-8 years. Robert Parker, 87 Points - Wine Advocate #188 Apr 2010
