This Chianti Classico was the shining star in a series of three tastings we did to find ourselves a really grown up Tuscan red. It was tasted blind against forty other wines and beat off Brunellos, Vino Nobile’s, not to mention some very well respected Chianti Classico Riservas. Above all this wine has balance. The fruit is clean and complex and the tannins present but soft. It’s beautifully crafted Chianti from a meticulously run family estate and it ticks every box we were looking for to fill this important slot on our list
