This for us is a classic Vintner wine.  It over delivers on its meagre appellation in spades.  Christophe Buisson is certainly among our very best producers.  He’s organic and totally committed to making his wine in his vineyards.  Here, for under £17.00, you can experience how really great burgundy should taste – rich, pure, generous and complex in flavour.  The style of this wine reflects the warm vintage and the talent of a great young winemaker.

    Wine info:

    Vintage: 2010

    Closure: Cork

    Grape: Pinot Noir

    Country: France

    Region: Burgundy

    ABV: 12.5%.

We’ve got five growers who we find it very difficult not to buy every wine they make from. Christophe is one of them. 100% organic and 200% fixed on making ONLY great wine. I’ve (Tom) only ever tasted Bourgogne Pinot Noir as good as this once before – Coche Dury’s Bourgogne Pinot at (what was) The Mirabelle in Mayfair on the wine list at £57 (9 years ago).:
