We’ve run out of the magnificent ’07 but this ’09 is every bit as good. Yes it’s younger so there’s some firm tannin here but it’s got layers and layers of creamy, black cherry fruit, spice and acidity. A great wine for a couple of years in the cellar but we’re drinking it now with all sorts of Winter cooking – particularly game.
