Located in the South West corner of the Chianti Classico region, the Villa di Geggiano is a 50 (20 hectares certified organic) hectare estate which has been in the Bianchi Bandinelli family since 1527. Brothers Andrea and Alessandro believe in a no-nonsense traditionalist approach to wine making, which is evident with this, their basic red.
It’s a terrific example of great Tuscan red at this price - rich fruit concentration, ripe and robust tannins, with impressive length. A cracking wine for the Sunday lunch favourite - a juicy roast rib of beef.
