Domaine de Compostelle

Originally wine merchants, the Estager family hail from Correze, in the heart of France, and arrived in the Bordeaux region in 1912. François is the fourth generation of his family to be producing wine in Bordeaux. The presence of the Estager family on the right bank is not limited to Pomerol. They also own Châteaux in Lalande de Pomerol and Montagne St-Émilion.

This 2 hectare vineyard neighbours Château Clinet, one of the most prestigious estates of Pomerol. Vines have been cultivated here since the Gallo-Roman period. Set on the right bank of the Garonne river, the climate is warm and the soil cool with natural drainage. The stones found in the vineyards store heat during the daytime that is released into the soil during cooler periods, ensuring the ideal environment for the perfect ripening of the grapes.
