This wonderful Pouilly Fumé is as pure a Sauvignon Blanc as you are likely to find. The crisp minerality and flint-like freshness is haunting and the clean notes of green apple and citrus zip make this a fine match with any seafood dish.

About this wine

Clams a la plancha
Domaine Chatelain is cultivated by Jean Claude and his son Vincent. Vine growers from father to son since 1630, Vincent represents the 12th generation. Jean-Claude Chatelain, the eleventh generation, took over the running of the property in 1966 after completing viticultural studies in Beaune. Jean-Claude must be one of the most dynamic wine growers in the whole of the Loire valley. Over the past 10 years the vineyards have been extended and a new winery constructed to house the most advanced and sophisticated wine making equipment.
