The Producer

Château Batailley

Based in the Pauillac region of Bordeaux, Chateaux Batailley takes its name from a battle (or "bataille") fought on its grounds some 600 years ago. You might well expect its wines to be steeped in tradition, and you would be right. The vinification is largely traditional, with hand havesting and destemming all done by hand. As a 5eme Cru Classé producer, Batailley is one of the best value Cru wines in the whole region.
