Tasting Note

Concentrated, pure, intense and emotional. Grossi Laüe means finest vineyards in Alsace and with less than 5,300 bottles made, we are so lucky to have this on our list. Ripe white peach, yellow plum and apricot fills the bouquet with hints of lemongrass and ginger. This continues on the palate with bold stone fruit, citrus oil and a hint of honey. The vibrant freshness adds energy and precision and a power that suggests a very long life.

The Producer

Domaine Hugel

The Hugel family can trace their Alsace winemaking roots back to their ancestor Hans Ulrich Hugel in 1639, and have been in their current premises since 1902. Since 1983 the family’s wines have been looked after by Marc Hugel (pictured), and more recently he has been joined by his nephew, Marc André.
