Tasting Note

Here, the old vines (40-45 years) are responsible for the superb quality and concentration found in this wine. It is luscious and creamy with bags of peach fruit and a brilliantly persistent finish. Pouilly Fuissé at its best.

The Producer

Domaine Saumaize-Michelin

The owners, Roger and Christine Saumize, took on the domaine in 1978 and are meticulous in both tending the vineyard and in keeping a very clean and orderly winery. Roger Saumaize in particular  is a great believer in the different terroirs of the region. The domaine's philosophy is to respect nature and the environment and as a result they produce beautiful wines that truly reflect the varied terroirs.
