Tasting Note

Treat your tastebuds to something truly unique. Ripe tropical fruit and juicy apple are enhanced by an almost honeyed edge. The balanced freshness is what is so extraordinary as it composes the wine and allows the subtle peppery notes to sneak through. Masterful!

Delivery and Returns

We offer a delivery service to most UK mainland addresses using either our own drivers or a courier.  We can deliver beyond the UK mainland but will need to quote you a price for this via email or phone. 

Our standard delivery charge is £10 inc. VAT for orders of under £100 to a single address in most parts of the UK mainland.  Delivery is free for orders of £100 or more to one address in most parts of the UK mainland.

We will deliver your wine within 5 working days of receipt of your order although many of our deliveries are done within 3 days.  If you have a deadline by which you need the wine, please let us know in the delivery instructions when you check out.

We require the goods to be signed for upon delivery unless you provide us with alternative delivery instructions which you can opt for when placing your order online.

The Vintner Guarantee

We are confident that you will love our carefully chosen wines, but if you don't, or if your wine is faulty (e.g. corked), we will credit you without question. Please notify us within 30 days of receipt of your order and we’ll also credit you for the bottle you tried originally.

The Producer

Schloss Gobelsburg

Michael Moosbrugger began his work at Gobelsburg in the late 90s and has a clear winemaking philosophy which is to eschew technology and the quest for uniformity in the wines, in favour of old fashioned methods which they believe produce wines of character, integrity and individuality. That is not to say that they do not innovate but that the practices employed have a sense of place and tradition. For example, instead of pumping the wines around the cellar which some feel ‘dulls’ the wines, they are transported in barrels on wheels. Even the barrels are made of local timber instead of the usual French or American oak.
