Mora E Memo

Sardinia, Italy

Mora e Memo is a small scale, family run estate that produce fantastic wines that are very representative of their terroir. Their winemaker, Ercole Iannone, is from Sardinia as well and grew up in Dolianova, a village just 2km from Mora e Memo. He consults for a number of other Sardinian wineries and has ben with Mora e Memo from their very first vintage.

In a hilly area at an average height of 240 meters above sea level, the Mora & Memo estate is planted with the main varieties of Sardinia: Cannonau, Vermentino, Monica, along with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. The Vermentino vineyards that this wine is from are in a spectacular location on a hill, 220 metres above sea-level and protected to the north by another small hillock. The South-Easterly exposure gives the grapes consistent sunshine that helps them ripen into the flavour you taste today.
